I used my Si. No real problems. I would get the newer one anyway, warranty helps out quite a bit.

If you can afford the Si go for it.

Si, if you screw up the tranny by your shitty driving since you just started driving standard, you have warranty. It's very hard to **** up the tranny very badly though for a new car.

I do like the extra torque on the H22, though, I will admit that. But at the end of the day, I think I'd enjoy the FG2 more.

Go with the Si if you can afford it, but the Prelude's are nice cars if you cant...

It's pretty hard to screw up a tranny anyway. I doubt learning to drive stick on a used Prelude would do any damage to the transmission.

The *only* think I don't like about the last 'ludes was the very front view. The shape was beautiful, the rear was gorgeous, the hood was nice and long, the cabin small. But the headlights...eeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

Every other part is as yummy as candy. But, why an SH? Why not just get an aftermarket Spoon 1.5 LSD and call it a day?

Actually, I think the last-gen Prelude front end was one of the best Honda's ever put out, behind the S2000 of course.

Not to mention, it has available, imo, the best bodykit ever made for any Honda. The Mugen:

The prices on a good condition late gen prelude is ridiculous. They are just like any old great made performance honda, they sell for almost what they did brand new. He is better off getting a new si anyways.
