Help me My fellow 8th Gen community

Hi. Can you please help me out? I have a 06 ex coupe with barely 2k miles, 1637 to be exact. Like everyone else, I should've got the Si but due to me being an idiot, I didn't get it....So, my question is, how much should I expect to get from the honda dealer when I trade it in, how much should I bring the Si price down buy so that the trade is below $5k after tax and all that?? Please help me out so that I can be shiftin' soon!! TY for your time Btw, the car is paid off already.

I was estimated about $14k for my EX trade-in, but I had about 23k miles on it. I wouldn't say much more than that. $14.5k or something, probably.

Try kbb.com for a good trade-in estimate.

Yeah... you have to figure the most depreciation is in the first year of ownership. The dealership needs to make a profit as well. It's hard to sell a used civic with low miles, for more than what you can get a new one for. You gotta figure the dealership is going to markup the vehicle $3k-$5k above what they own it for, so they have room for negotiation. I would suggest private sale, list it in the paper, craigs list, ect...
Good luck getting KBB price from a dealer, yeah KBB is a great guide, but we typically use Galves or NADA for a guide. If you want me to lookup their prices get me your car info and I'd be more than happy to help.

definitely try to privately sell it. You'll get much more money for your car especially if its pretty much brand new. Theres a lot of people who want the new cars but don't want to deal with those outrageous dealership prices. I did that ofr my SI, I got it used and ended paying way less than what the dealership was going to offer me. In this case, both the buyer and seller win :)

Sell it privately. That depends on how fast you want to get rid of it. Try a place like carmax. They wont screw around with you like the dealer.
