lol its easy to list all those cars when ur 16 and have no way of paying for any of those cars. For being 16 get a honda. Cheap insurance, resale value is amazing, and very reliable

If you notice I was making fun of the guy who tried to be funny. I really appreaciate all of the advice some of you are giving on me. I just hate when people try and bash on me for no reason. If some people dont want to answer my question then leave the thread, leave it at that dont put in your 2 cents about something else. I am trying to keep calm but just read what that guy wrote before me.

Get a decent used car. You can learn how to install your own stereo. I had a Nova (like a lot of people) and tore the hell out of it learning the hows and whys of car audio.

I think you should drive a used Ford Escort for the first couple of years and really learn how to drive. That way you will appreciate a nice car that you have earned in the future.
But being spoiled as you are you will more than likely get the most expensive, highest Horsepower car your mom will buy for you and then end up killing yourself showing off in the streets. Oh, wait, that's why your mom wants you to get a car with Side Curtain Airbags.
Good news, almost every new car out there has them now.
But they don't make your car or you indestructible.
I wish this would be Europe where you can't even get a license until you are 18. Because there are more accidents caused by teenagers that don't know what they have and don't know how to control their new found power. Remember, driving is a privledge not a right.

Anyway, Good luck and happy trails..

Id personally say the Si because its new and a honda. RSX is relatively similar to the Si (with the obvious and some not so obvious differences) and I personally dont think too highly of VW(although the GTI was a pleasant drive). For your first car try to stick with FWD or AWD, Sti and Evo would rape you on insurance and you have to get them used(maybe they were beat on before you?).

Good luck with whatever you end up doing, just dont turn into one of those stupid kids that wraps their car around a tree.

Yea Judging by what everyone has said, I think the si will be my best bet. I am going to go for a test drive asap and hopefully buy one in September when I get my juniors license. Thanks for your input.

LOL. When did we start talking about car audio. Also a nova does not have any airbags. I do know how to install a cd player in a car and I am going to school for Auto mechanics next year also so I can work with cars next year. But thanks for your input anyways.

Yea sounds like a good idea. I've driven many cars although I am only 16 I have probably driven for about 150 hours so far. I taught myself how to drive stick and since then I have been driving my dads Porsche which I am sure is faster than the si. I want an si bc they are not too fast and they are safe and nice looking. But yea I heard side airbags make your car like a tank and you can crash the si at top speed on the street and still come out untouched. I really thought that was pretty cool too!

I was kind of in a similar situation, I learned to drive on my dad's '05 v6 accord (faster than Si) for about 25 hours, and then put about 150 hours in (by the time I got my junior license) on the s2000, both cars are faster than mine.

no crashes so far :)
