got my first ticket

I got pulled over while driving in the HOV lane, and of course, I was by myself. I know I was stupid. It's my first ticket and it doesn't say how much the fine is. How much would it be? I'm in NOVA area.

HOV = High occupancy vehicle. In most Nova areas you have to have at least two people in the car to use them during rush hour.

heres the problem, some places are now adding points to your license for hov tickets. I would call the number on the ticket to find out how much it would be.

They come in use down here when its not rush hour cause there are certain times when it is HOV only and after that anybody can use it. The thing is most of the people here are tourists and old people so not many people know you can use it without another person in the car.

Hopefully the ticket isn't too bad

not too sure if this is right but my unlce was warning me about the hov lanes when i moved here. but i heard based on the number of tickets given out that day will determine the amount of the ticket. thats just what i was told...

I'd rather have that ticket, than the 2 speeding tickets I've already got. This recent one is going to run me somwhere in the ballpark of $370 FTMFL

In California, we call it the carpool lane and it's $280. I'm not sure if it counts as a moving violation and affects your insurance.
