dude, judge doesn't give a sh#t if you took a class or not. As far as he concerned you already graduated- you got your license, you already should know all there is to know about speeding and it's consequences. Class is merely a way for you to show your ins company you care about your driving. So take it whenever. And if judge asks you about it, tell him you are scheduled to take it next Saturday or something.

I think most people have to pay for their insurance, so that doesn't really suck.

if this is your first offense then the cop will usually just tell you if you plead not guilty and show up for court he can drop the points and you just pay the fine+court fees...or you just go and plead not guilty anyway and you can get the points dropped...

....my first ticket was speeding too like 40 in a 25 or something...cop didnt say anything about not pleading guilty or whatever so i asked my friend he told me to plead not guilty and go to court...so i did and the cop was there and he was like ok since it is your first offense i will take the points away (3 or 4 points)

6 point ticket 62 in a 35... anything i can do to get that dropped or anything? ugh im angry... and how bad will it affect my insurance u think?this is my first ticket
DO NOT CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY!! Insurance companies usually do random checks on your driving record, so they may not see the ticket for a while if they even do see it. Motor Vehicles usually only notifies insurance companies if your license is suspended or revoked. When I got my one and only ticket (71 in a 55) my agent told me to hang up and pretend I never called. That's when he told me how the do random checks and may never even see the ticket. It's been about 10 years since I got the ticket but I've always remembered his advice.
Same goes for homeowners insurance claims--don't even call to question your deductable or they could count it against you as an "unpaid claim". The theory being, you had damage to your home and if something happens in the future, they can't guarantee it wasn't worse from the first claim never being repaired.

I got a ticket not too long ago. Your choices are:

A) Go to court, ask for court supervision (usually 60-90 days) if you stay ticket free for those 2-3 months, your ticket gets wiped off.

B)Go to defensive driving school. About 3 hours long, not too bad. Only allowed to take this once per year.
