Test drove an SI today

Wow.... That's all I can really say. It exceeded my expectations. I knew it would be nice but I really got blown away. I know I want it now. I wasn't impressed at first when I started to drive it. I loved the feel of the drive by wire but I didn't feel the ease of driving I was expecting. 10 minutes driving the car took care of that. It felt like butter by the time I was done. I loved it. I found a nice road with my great sales guy and opened the thing up from a dead stop, took it to redline, chirped the tires a little in second, traction control kicked in (way better traction control than in a Mini Cooper S btw because in that car it literally cuts the power for a good second) and I was hooked! I got to drive both a GG Coupe with Navi and a NBP Non-Navi. Decided that I didn't see the need for the Navi and it really wasn't all I think it could be so I went for the NBP. The sales guy I was with worked with me and I got quoted $358.77 for 60 months at 4.9% with $5000 down. Not bad for a 21-year-old guy getting his first car out of college. I'm currently working on getting the down payment from the bank and if all goes well I will have this car in my possession by this time tomorrow. Not gonna lie, I'm a little excited. I'll keep ya posted and of course, post some pictures if I get this beauty.

Hope everything works out well for you. Just gotta warn you that if you do end up getting this car, it will be very hard to stay home!

ok, so i had the pen in my hand to sign the papers while my salesguy went out to get the guys to start cleaning the SI I wanted. He walks back in about two minutes later and says, hang on one sec, I can't find the car. He walks over to the finance desk and they say, "oh yeah, we sold that one about 20 min ago". Excellent (pause) NOT.

So my SI driving days will have to wait. I think I'm going to make sure this job I've been offered actually becomes a reality first before I go diving into a car payment right now anyway. They really did try to make it easy on me though by delaying my first payment on the car till august (I liked that). But it would be smarter for me to wait i guess. Almost a victim of an impulse buy (can u call it an impulse buy when it's the EXACT car you want at an amazing price and perfect monthly payment?)
