I had a 94 GSR with CAI, DCH, RT cat, Apex N1, Koni reds, eibach pros, audio equipment, and so 17" wheels. It drowned in a flood and i had never told them about the parts. When it came time to write the check for it being totaled, i said i had 3 grand in parts and audio equipment. They asked for receipts, i said i don't have any, they said thats fine. They gave me 2500 for the parts and 3000 for the car. AAA rocks.

State Farm is pretty good. Not sure if they'll charge you for Mods though. Still have to talk to them about my up-coming projects. (ie: 1" drop and fogs)

Ok, I just called my insurance company Geico (pretending to be a nonpolicy holder getting info - I'd recommend that everyone do this w/ theirs, and report here!), and they told me that there is a "surcharge" for having mods, PLUS they will only cover a SMALL amount (he gave me the example of covering only $300 worth for 4 rims!). I asked about intakes and exhausts, and he said that they would not cover them beyond like $150 or something - yeah right! Well, all I can say is that this sucks for me. Geico in general has been great for me, good premiums and many discounts. But this sucks.

i asked my insurence(state farm) while i was in the office paying it one day and they said, "honda's hold their value very well so putting after market parts on it is just fine. if you had an older car worth 900 bucks and put 2000 worth of aftermarket stuff in it we wouldnt cover it."

I am 23 and I have my own policy. It's only $120 per month for full coverage, $500 deductible.

What makes you say cheap insurance? My insurance is a lot lower than a lot of the prices I have seen on this site and others for Honda Civic's , and I live in Ontario.

Contact Smith & Wesson for the "best" insurance on aftermarket parts :P
