$500 off MSRP is a fair deal, it's not "good" but it aint "bad" either.

MSRP is what they are sold for so anything under that is good.

You can do better. Just make sure they do not add extra fees on. Talk to Chris like the ibanz37 said.

Make sure they don't charge $100 for wheel locks and $3K for body kit and Scotch Guard (don't laught I saw that last summer right before I got my Si).

Buying Advice / Pricing Benchmarks

Here is some of his advice for purchasing. I did not get my vehcile from him, but he did answer all my questions. I ordered my car l a few weeks ago and got a Si sedan with HPT for 20393. But from what I understand they changed the pricing a little and you should be able to get cheaper now.

well first off.. is sticker msrp?
sticker could have dealer mark-ups.. like when I was looking to purchase my car.. I asked them what they were asking for like ex's and he was like.. msrp + 3k.. and I laughed at him.. cause it was like 1/2 hr away.. lol..
but yeah.. its a good deal.. but you can get better if you're willing to invest TIME

MSRP - 500 + $79.50 doc fee...

21855 - 500 + 79.50 = 21,434+tax and tags..

just make sure you dont get charged for options if its not hfp equipped. the options they put on these cars are rediculous, like 400 for a protection kit which is wheel locks, and mud guards. lol

I think that's a nice deal. I got my LX for $500 off MSRP, but I had to shop around a bit to get a deal like that; I went to other dealers after getting the offer of 500 below, and other dealers told me to go buy it from whoever gave me that deal, because they weren't going to beat it, or even match it.

You can definitely do better, especially since the Si fever is cooling off. It's been over a year since the Si was introduced so don't be surprised to see several Sis on the lot. If that dealership can't do better, wait a while because they will call back or take your cash elsewhere.
I've been to several nYc dealers over the last few weeks and I was told that there isn't a "shortage anymore". The same is probably true in your town as well.
Keep in mind that the longer a dealer holds on to a car, the more he has to pay the bank. So it's to his advantage to sell.
Also, look over the sticker and paperwork carefully for any hidden fees.

P.S. EVERYTHING is negotiable within reason.

$.5K off dealership sticker price is bad!

Dealership sticker price usually includes non-sense add-on, and it is usually more than MSRP. To me, it is very bad deal.

You can get it just above invoice, which is well below dealership sticker price. Of course, it will take some afford to negotiate but you can simply get the OTD price through email and phone call.

Please do not rush, and you will get a good deal. Anything above invoice is extra money for the dealership. Good luck.

It depends on where you buy it.

I got my Si for MSRP w/ no extras back in october, and I had to drive 3 hours to get it. The dealers in the city here are still marking up $1.5-2k "market value", in addition to the ass expensive extras. The "sticker" price for an Si with navi here was $26k when I went to get an oil change a couple weeks ago at the dealer.

I am getting mine OTD for a couple hundred more than msrp. Just do your shopping. Wait for internet quotes and ask for Out The Door pricing.
