Exclamation Si Test Drive.

I test drove an Si today! It was an 07 NHB two door w/o Navi... I really enjoyed it and kinda pushed it a little hard... I could actually feel the I-Vtec cheng over quite noticeably. The only thing I was a little dissapointed about was the slow start from idle in 1st or 2nd but it performed better than I thought it would for being stock off the lot.

I am leaving the country tomorrow for some family stuff but when I come back next Tuesday I should have an 07 Taffeta White 2 door w/ Navigation waiting for me. HOPEFULLY!

The reason I am sayin hopefully is because I have been told by the dealer that these are very hard to get ahold of in SoCal but they should most definately have one for me by Tuesday...

EVERYONE, CROSS YOUR FINGERS, WISH ME LUCK.

ShayneD.

Good luck bro! I hope you end up loving your taffy white Si as much as I do. It's definately been the best car I've ever had. Have a good, safe trip, and be sure to bring me back all sorts of great Starblazers/Space Battleship Yamato toys that I can't find here in the states!

Woohoo! The excitement will kill you, then the 601 miles that you have to take it easy will slowly drive you mad. Until you get to 8200-8300RPMs ;-)

I guess you don't know what I'm talking about. I said that the excitement of getting the car will kill you. Then, once you have it, you will be dying to make that cam lobe flip over. (hit 'vtec' as some say on here) The owners manual tells you to wait until you have completed 600 miles (at 601, you go mad w/the car!) Your rev limiter kicks in between 8200 and 8300RPMs, so that will make you sane again. Sorry for being so vague. :)

I test "rode" an SI yesterday. I don't know how to drive stick (which is a main reason I ended getting an EX) and was at the dealership to see if they had the SI sway bars on hand. A dealer there that I've befriended recognized me and we started chit chatting. We started talking about the SI and how I didn't know how to drive stick and so never even been in the new SI's yet.

He was so cool that he took me for a spin in an SI Sedan (knowing damn well that I wasn't in the market for one, but still took the time out for me) and we go for a spin. He then proceeds to haul ass in it going about 70 down the road (empty roads but too many stop signs). We had a blast and got back to the dealership with the engine stinking of burnt plastic. Cool ass dealer. If I'm ever in the market again, I'm buying from HIM. Oh, by the way, the SI kicks ass. Just riding passenger was insanely fun, can't imaging how I'd feel driving one...
