Question regarding Si deposit/purchase
Hi,
I made a $500 deposit on a black Si Coupe with Nav. The figures were all written on an signed and dated order sheet. Here's a breakdown of the exact numbers. 22240 car price 1862.60 tax @8.37% 135 License 10 inspection 12.50 nys waste tire fee 45 processing fee for a total of 24305.10 minus 500 deposit so a total out the door price of 23805.10 for a Si with Navi with no mention of any destination fees. To me it seems that this is a pretty good deal, especially in a metro area with most dealerships listing $23,400 as the MSRP. I went through the Costco Auto program where it's a set price for cars, usually invoice(inflated) + 500 for Hondas, but in this case the pricing sheet listed MSRP - 100 for the si, but the salesman still gave me the invoice+500 price. I honestly think he made a mistake and looked at the wrong line in the list because the prints were tiny and had tons of info on it. My question is that, is this a binding contract that they have to honor this price once the car gets in? Can they claim to have made a calculation/data entry mistake and try to change the price? The sales guy did tell me verbally that the only time this price will change is when Honda raise all civic prices. Any advice is welcome. thanks |
