2007 Civic LX Coupe

I went to the dealer today to look at the new honda civics. They had one galaxy gray lx coupe. Sticker price is ~18k but the salesman told me it would be 21,500 because they had to connect the ac and all the electronics from when it came off the truck. I'm sorry but 21.5k for a lx coupe is way too much. This is the only 2007 MT Civic left. We'll regardless of that price we go inside to discuss the payemnts and he said it would be $400 for 62 months. I dont think this is a good deal at all but I want this car and there no other honda dealer that i can go to. The car comes with pinestrips, mudgaurds, and the lip spoiler. So thats the appearance packagae that they charge 1k from the orginal price of 17k. Any advice on how I can get them to lower the price.

You need to research more before buying. mudguards is only 60$, lip spoiler comes standard. LX comes with AC and no over price for it.

Just order a new one of your choice, color, trim, transmission.

Give him the one finger salute and leave. $21,500 for an LX coupe? Ya right. That's more expensive than in Canada.. you're totally getting into the Si's territory with that price.

Look around more. No dealership should charge you 3.5K to hookup connections. Everything is done from the factory and all they gotta do is put it on the damn lot and deliver it.

LXs already come with AC.. so your dealership is bsing or something. Perhaps you should try speaking to another rep.

What do you mean by ordering one? Ordering a separate AC and have them put it in?

If they're asking for additional charges, then no, I wouldn't bother. Like you said, LX comes standard with AC and they should not be charging you for some crazy reason like that.

I don't understand how they're claiming they have to charge to do anything with connections for the AC. The LX comes with AC standard and if something isn't hooked up right from the factory, that's on them to correct because that's how it's supposed to be. That's like if the car came off the truck with only three wheels and they charge you $200 for the extra wheel.

The MSRP on a 2007 Civic LX coupe 5MT is $16,760 + $595 destination. You should not be paying a penny more than before adding accessories. You should look for another dealership because they're trying pull one over on you.

Good Grief tell that sales person to F*** OFF!!
I paid 16,200 for my 06 just 2 weeks ago.
Do a search or go to a different dealer. I am sure you can get quotes over the phone or the web.
Good Luck with your purchase...

Already sounds like a bad dealership to begin with. I would go search aroudn some other dealerships and see what they're willing to offer you. Even if you order the car through this dealership, sounds like they're the kind of dealership that'll d*ck you in the ass and sell your car if someone walked in and offered more.

you will be STUPID
if you got it
with that money you can get an accord
there is no big difference with the 06/07 you might as well get an 06

use www.edmunds.com
to get a target area price
NEVER PAY MRSP
only a little under invoice!

If I remember correctly from my dealership days, the only thing they need to connect is the battery fuse.

lol nope not canadian dollars. im going back on monday with a copy of edmunds pricing printed out. i know its a bad deal i wasnt planning on buying that car for that price. they dont have any 06s left and there arent any other honda dealers near me. so either i get a better deal from them or ill have to wait and find another car to get from somewhere else. i've been car less for 3 weeks now so i'm kinda in a hurry to get a car but no way am i paying that much for an lx. when they told me they had to connect stuff they called it PDI? anyone know what they are talking about. anyway the sticker price was 17k on the car then there was another one next to it that saying they added the appearance package which is mandotory so it was 18k. all they added was wheel locks, pin strips, and mud guards from what i can tell. anyone else have advice? anyone with an lx coupe how much did u pay OTD? I also have a friend in new york who bought an 06 ex coupe and i wanna know how much he paid for it and if they charged him 3k for some bs.

pdi=pre delivery inspection, something that every honda that comes off of the truck has to go through. the customer is not to be charged for this, they are totally trying to rip you off.

It's out of control with these markups isn't it?

I paid 16,500 for my LX 5-sp.
