When you guys bought your Si did you...?

Did you get ANYTHING off msrp and anything thrown in light fog lights or anything. I Live in Vancouver, B.C. and I went to the local honda dealership inquiring about pricing and the best they could do was 200$ off if I was buying today haha.

Welcome to teh site We have a whistler meet coming up check out the west coast section of the ocho.

When I got my car in 05 they only gave me 250 off, first oil change, and lock nuts for the wheels.

I think some of the other vancouver folk can give you a better idea as to what they got

In the SI there is about $1800.00 markup, but then the dealer has shipping, and other charges on there for the dealership to be able to run and everyone get paid + salesman. I used to work in sales at a Honda dealer BTW.

$200.00 off is a decent deal, but I would ask to get all and any accessories at cost, including winter tires if you want them later included in the deal( Get a quote on the accessories.) That alone will save you a few hundred extra. I bought floor mats, reg $160 plus tax for about $110 or so, rear cargo mat, $160 reg + tax for about $110.00 again. Maybe also get a few oil changes or something for the first 5000km. Depends what you find helpful. Its no cost to them, and they sell a vehicle.

If they say "no can do", just say "you'll think about it" and walk. They will stop you there and do the deal. I walked twice when buying my car two weeks ago, and they came up $1000.00 on my trade from doing so. Its worth the 30 minutes of work... unless your name is Bill Gates.

$21,000 even for my car. Actually my mom and me play the card "Oh we change our minds at the last minute" when we went to go pick up the car and sign the papers. They "convince" us to buy the car if they took off another $500. Earlier the week we agree that dealer has to cover the taxes and shipping free. I ask for no accessories but since my car was coming from another dealership it actually came with truck tray (man I love it), mud flaps (don't really love it), and wheel locks (but no wheel lock key). No worries though, I came back to my dealership 7 months later and ask for the wheel lock key since I never got one. 5 mins later I got one and they had me sign that I did receive it. My dealership was really nice.

Fog lights to you are about $650.00, their cost is about $350 or so. Give it a try, although I think fogs are pointless, expecially when cops in BC will ticket you from driving with them on when there is no fog.

Doesn't always work. Hence why most dealers take a deposit of $1000.00+

If you don't have a deposit down, then yeh.. try it

They didn't tell you they were giving you those mats did they? Cause they come with the car. I also have never heard of a dealership that doesnt give you a tank of gas
