Johnson City Honda

The johnson city honda dealership in east tennessee has at least 1 or 2 of the dumbest techs i have ever seen.

My new LX only a week old wouldnt pop the gas door open when you press the button so i took it in. I caught one tech smoking in my car and another jimmy rigging the gas door and he ended up denting it. The service manager wouldnt even look at me while i was making a complaint. Nor did he seem to really care. Another service guy chris was very helpful and did get me a rental while they order parts. But all in all i will no longer take my car to them or refer anyone to their sales dept.

Their entire sales staff was outside yesterday making sexist and racist jokes out loud on the lot. Man coming from los angeles to tennessee you definitely see some social differences.

sorry bout that man

Hey man,
Sorry those guys suck there, welcome to the south man!
Maybe, you can drive your civic over the 'line' to Virginia and go to a dealership in Bristol, Va man! I have always lived in the southeast (coast). I laughed when I read your post because I was just visiting Cali - Long Beach, and Orange County, Man, it is different, I don't like California, I think you are used to what you grew up with! I love the east coast bro!
Anyway, try to go to another dealer man, I know Bristol is right next to you. Hope you adjust to the 'good ol south'.

This is my 5th trip to honda in less than 2 weeks of ownership, its defintely more a dealer problem than a brand problem...........my lexus never had any problem and the service was great

Yeah, you definitely need to find a new dealership to deal with for repairs, maintenance, and other warranty work.

you need to get in touch with the general manager or district manager, they will take care of it.

I agree, Johnson City Honda is absolutely horrible.

They overcharged me by $500 (i'll not tell you the total) on my 100k mile checkup. It got to the point where my mother had to make an appointment with the owner. They said they'd give us $200, which would at least be something but they still haven't sent it to us.

The next time I went there was because my engine light turned on, and they proceeded to charge me $350 for something that was CLEARLY under warranty (emissions recall for 96/97 civics) and it took me calling California and talking to Honda USA to force them to concede to their mistake. They said 1.) They'd mail me my check, then 2.) No we can't mail you your check you have to come and now, 3.) Oh we're sorry you'll have to sign papers, but that person isn't in today. I've been waiting since august on this one...4 months and still nothing, not even an apology.

Also, I agree with the earlier sentiments, many of them are rude and unprofessional. They were playing with remote control toys when I was standing there yesterday waiting for someone to help me. Seriously?

Never do business with these people. The management will placate you until you're too tired to fight over it anymore, so it's worth the drive to go to kingsport or any other repair center possible.

That's really sad. I used to get my DX serviced there religiously, and they were great. Things change quickly.

They do run a tighter ship in Kingsport, but every place has its problems, I suppose.

When I got my car back after the recall check, it smelled like french fries in my car. NO ONE EATS in my car. I got a call a week later saying Honda would be giving me a call for a review. I planned on being honest, but the call never came.
