Nissan Altima Coupe - Opinions?

what do you guys think of the new Nissan Altima Coupes? I love my Si & all but eventually I think I want to go back to a coupe....I just like the sportiness of 2-door cars...

would you ever trade an 08 FA5 TW for a 08 Nissan Altima Coupe 4cyl. 6spd, w/ some options on it?

It's a nice vehicle, but I just don't like the styling. You should get a coupe si!

I can tell you this first hand, my g/f has an 08 altima coupe and driving that compared to my si is not even a comparison. This car is, and feels so much bigger, clunkier, and dull compared to the fg2. The cvt is just plain weird (i realize you said 5spd.) The only comparison where the altima would gain my thumbs up would be the ride, it does ride very nice for an affordable car and she does get good mileage with hers. Another area where I feel the si is the winner is visability. The altima you really sit down in the drivers seat where the si is more upright and feels better imo. The trunk space in the altima is also a disappointment. While it is wide, it is way too shallow. Hope this helps and does not seem like I'm bashing the altima, it is a good car and she's had no problems with hers thus far, she has almost 30K on hers and she is really happy with it. I just believe that these cars are in a different comparo category

I've debated this myself, but opted against it. I also love coupes. But with a car that size, you might as well get a sedan. Plus, the Altima sedan has a better crash test rating. It's all up to personal preference.

what about in the 4cyl version?
& what about looks-wise?
u think the accord coupe LOOKS BETTER than the altima b/c I dont know about that one...the accord coupe is pretty huge & had a fat rear end w/ too much chrome.

I like the altima coupe. Hell, I would really have a hard time choosing between the accord coupe and the altima coupe. To be honest, I think that it would purely come down to whichever one I could get for a better deal.

[edit] Oh, added a poll too.

The Altima coupe isn't even a choice for me. I would rather go for a 350Z or G37. I doubt that car is as fun to drive as the Si.

It depends what kind of drive you are looking for. Somewhat luxurious comfortable cruiser, or spirited driving beast...

The 2.5 is a 6 speed and the top speed gov. is around 110mph. My dad has the sedan, and its pretty comfortable.

id never buy a nissan altima. that thing looks terrible on the outside.

not to mention the resale just plumits on those. The only nissan id consider is the Z, and even then, id be hard pressed not to go with the 2dr accord v6.

I think he wants the 4cyl for the gas mileage. No matter how many times yall recommend the V6 he still says he wants the 4cyl, so just drop it.

Well if he wants gas mileage a 2.5 liter engine doesnt get much better gas mileage from the get go. And I dont see a big definite reason to really change.

I don't see why he wasted his time buying a FA5 if he wanted a coupe...
