The Power Stick replaces the top torque rod (aka dogbone). The ETD (aka Stiffy) does not replace anything; it is an add on that uses some of the bolts where the dogbone is located.

i used epoxy on the dogbone. I can hear the engine through out the cabin. also vibration is felt in first gear and with a/c on during idle.

The power stick isn't that bad of vibration. I'm thinking if you make the mounts stiff enough they'll transfer more vibration. As I've said in the original thread, 3M was opposed to being one of the hardest compounds but according to it's shore grade it's the lowest of the selections. I'm looking forward to seeing the feedback from the person that tries them. I've thought about filling mine too a while back but this is the first thread I've seen on someone trying this on our cars. I'm really curious to the comparison of other compounds.

Epoxy is about the hardest material that you could have used. I'm hoping that the vibrations will be minimal with the urethane since it is much softer than the Epoxy.

BTW, the main reason why I did not go with the Flexane is because you have to mix parts together to activate (which can easily introduce bubbles) and it also shrinks when it cures.

From memory, I'm not certain on the torque values for both mounts (I believe that the two bolts for the lower mount were 76ft. lbs.). Also, my shop manual happens to be in another state at the moment.

Well you made a good decision with 3M. I dunnoe if you drew straws or whatever to pick this one out of all your other choices but this is what I was going to use too. It's a proven compound and guarantees 100% satisfaction if not more price wise.

i can't cirp 3rd gear like before. less engine movement i assume. hopefully the dogbone brakes in and gets softer, cuz i can't stand the vibration in first gear. epoxy FTL

That vibration is good though man. It shows that what you did is extremely effective. But if it's your DD then that's totally understandable because mine is a DD too. That's why I held back on trying to make some injections/inserts.

Im sure most of us would get used to it like almost all mods.

I found and added an image to the first post showing the torque values for the upper torque rod. I don't have an image or know for certain the torque specifications for the two lower torque rod bolts...Could someone with a shop manual look it up and let us know?

Edit: oops I got the value for the upper bolts mybad... I have corrected the info.

Install both bolts and snug them down. The sequence is the oil pan (horizontal)first followed by the subframe bolt (vertical). Torque the oil pan bolt to 65 ft-lbs then torque the subframe bolt to 69 ft-lbs.

Got the info straight from my Helms. Sorry, I'd post a pic but I have no scanner and my camera is downstairs =X.

either my clutch is gone or the epoxy dogbone is doing it's job. the car does not wheel hop in the rain any more. launching in the rain usually results in wheelhop in one place, but now it just wheel spin. also the mount broke in and now it is more enjoyable to drive.

No. The reason why the tires chirp is because they receive a small amount of lift from when the engine torques. He used epoxy which is pretty damn hard. He really minimized the movement of his motor which holds more power to the ground.
