Ok I gotcha now. So how can I make my rears work then if my head unit only has 2 outputs (front + rear)? I've already tried splitters, but that results in a loss of sound quality.

Hey I take back from what I said up there that I don't like the whole splitters way. I found the perfect ones from walmart made by scosche and they are Y rca cables so I can split my front outputs into two! Thanks for the help and at least now I can rest assured I won't be loosing my factory amp down the line. When I get the chance to wire it that way and fix everything else I'll post back here with the results.

These are them: Walmart.com: Scosche Pair of Dual RCA Y Cables, AMYC2X2: Auto

Hey its been awhile since I posted here and just wanted to give you guys an update that I have successfully run my front+rear speakers out of the front output on my radio with the rear being completely reserved for the amplifier powering my subwoofers =). Everything sounds great and it's so nice because I'm not a professional just someone who wants to get some nicer sound in my civic.
