DIY: Removal and Install of Side Mirror

So thanks to some idiot who sideswiped my parked car I had to replace my mirror. I got the mirror online for about $40 from some salvage yard and it arrived 2 days after i ordered it. It was very simple to install but id figure i would put this up here anyways.

First remove the sail panel on the inside of the door to view the nuts holding the mirror on to your car. There are 3 nuts to remove all are 8mm.



Then remove the plug from its harness. in order for the mirror to slide out you need to cut off the tabs on each side of the white plastic harness to fit through the hole. A simple utility knife is what i used.



Then simply pull off the old mirror. You can now slide in the new mirror, just line up the holes with the bolts and you should be able to just push it right into place. Now reattach the nuts to all 3 bolts and plug the harness back in. Snap on your sail panel and everything is done.

My new mirror still needs to be painted but I at least have a mirror again and it looks and works perfect. Hope this helps anyone who needed it.
