Have you removed one sleepy?
If so, could you give me a brief tutorial?

to be honest i will tell you what the guys at the tint shop told me, we perfer to not remove the rear deck as it is almost impossible to put it back together.

I pretty much undid the screws and started to remove each area slowly, some places with force and it popped out. I do have a coup so it might be easier with the sedan.

Putting it back together became tricky when the rear of the deck is hard to get to go in as there are little clips that need to snap in, with the back window there it was hard to get my little hands back there to pop it in.

I had to get the tint guys to remove the back deck to fix the annoying deck rattle and they put my deck back togther.

sorry if grammer and spelling bad i am rushing this as i work

good luck

Exactly^. My tint shop said they would not remove the rear deck because of how hard it was to take off and put back on. I attempted to remove myself but there is just too many damn clips holding it in. I am having the dealer remove it for me when they change my oil so I can finish re-doing the rear tint.

Is the sedan different than the coupe? I have an LX coupe and it is a snap, all you do is pull up on it and the clips all come undone, and to put it back all you do is bang your hand around and they all clip back in.

yes, the sedan is different. i was planning to swap out the rear speakers and decided not to because of the hassle. My dealership had a workshop for the new civic, not that great actually, but. When I was there one of the techs showed me how to do it, on the shops computer of course. They obviously have this database to show step by step jobs to be done on all models, it would be awesome info to have but not available. Even when we went throught the steps he suggested not to do it, almost like he wouldn't want to do it either. Sorry I can't give the steps, useless post i guess.

I also have a coupe EX and it was really easy to remove the rear deck. It was a little hard to get the clips around the window back in, but on a scale of 1-10 I would say the the whole removal and reinstall would be a 3.
