DIY Removal for the wing on an LX?

Hey guys been trying to look for a DIY on removing the wing on an LX.

I'm not sure if it just comes off with a heat gun and just cleaning off the left over adhesive or if theres a bolt holding it in....lol i feel retarded for asking this question, just don't want to F-UP my trunk.

Just wondering so i can go ahead and do this at the same time i do my civic emblem =].

It's like a trunk lip. Really subtle.
I think there are 2-3 bolts you have to remove from under the trunk then the rest are double sided tape which a heat gun or blow dryer would remove.
Just check under the trunk where it curves.

my lip spoiler left 9 holes, and uses 2 bolts i think, the rest are clips.

ahh well that sucks, alright i guess i'll be removing the civic emblem and thats it. I wonder if its cheaper just to buy a brand new trunk without the wing or to get it shaved and welded... but Thanks ALOT!

Ive been thinking about the same...you could use that round tab that someone used to cover the hole for the front license plate.....spray that with paint....

Thanks to Steevos for these pics...

o0o0 lol well i actually didn't have that hole for the license plate. Mine is in the grill. You can see the two silver square where the plate is held. Heres a pic:

but i might go ahead and do that, and if i decide too i'll shave the whole trunk.

If you decide to do that, defi put up some pics...I wanna see how it turns out....i saw from collegehillshonda's diagrams, the 9 holes face backwards and not upwards, its clean on top.....so it even might look like a backup sensor....

maybe its a nice time to put those ebay backup sensors....specially if the holes are aligned already..though, thats a very high position.

there are 7 clips and 2 bolts...

what i thought before was:

1, get an overlay and cover the whole trunk, cheapest way

2, get a new trunk, order it from some shop?

3, get a CF trunk, pretty hard to find CF sedan trunk

4, take the trunk to the bodyshop and let them get the holes covered, sanded, painted, which will be a lot of $$$$$
