remote wire

hey guys.. was installing an amp/sub in my girl's civic and i can't find a remote wire.. can anyone tell me where i can splice in?
07 civic base model

or you could find a fuse that comes on with the ignition, on my 95 accord i used the fuel pump fuse, and wrapped the wire around it so when i turned the key to 2 the amp would be powered up. the remote wire does not carry any current it only acts as a positive lead to trip a relay to then power the amp so that is why any fuse that powers stuff like that will work.

cool.. i ran the line into the fusebox where the head-unit connects but that is temp fix.. i'll try to see which of your guys solutions works the best tonight.. thanks very much

i tapped my remote wire to the antenna like the one link in the 2nd post.. it works great. haven't had a problem for over half a year.

i went to the honda dealership and they printed out the wiring diagram for the stock amp in my si. If you can't read it i'm sure a tech can point you to the right wire np. Mine was a purple wire to the amp under the driver seat.
