wounder how this would sound with the stock amp...... prob clean it up a whole lot..... might just have to pick this up and try it out

I have a civic EX and I bought a rockford fosgate sub, however it is too deep and hits the trunk torsion bars? how can I go around this? :s

ummm...I think someone removed the torsion bars and put a stronger spring.....if you do that..it should work out fine....but its gonna shake the hell out of the whole rear deck and window.

Inface ive been trying to find that thread since morning......

so lets say i got an 8 inch sub to fit in where the stock one was. would i have to get an amp to push it or would the stock one be good enough. now i am not an audio guy by anymeans but i at least want it to hit pretty well.

the thing is, the sub is installed like a free-air would be. but that is not a free-air sub. it cant sound that good. As a installer i have had customers ask me to do this at times and the few times ive amused them its sounded like garbage. believe me, if it was worth doing, i would have done it with the new jl slim subs.

I agree don't waste you time and money to install anything in the factory 8" hole to enhance your sound/ bass. I will sound worse. Buy a custom box with amp, you'll be much happier with the quality.

I already took it out...since I am back to a 12"..........

but my video would be a shot of the rear deck. Pointless.
