DIY : FD2 Shift Boot

Here is my first DIY. Install was very simple and easy.

1. Turn the shift knob counter clock wise and take it off. Also take off the nut below the shift knob.

2. Once the shift knob is off, hold the left and the right side of the boot and pull up. The silver plastic piece should pop right off.

3. Flip over the silver plastic piece and take off the 4 screws holding the shift boot.

4. Put the JDM Shift boot and and put the screws back in place, after pop the silver plastic piece back in. It should snap back on without any problems.

5. Put the shift knob back in place and your all done.

Enjoy your new JDM Shift boot!

I got it from AJ-Racing. Keep in mind the EDM shift boot and the JDM shift boot is different.

I used the JDM collar. I had widen it with a dremel first, but it fit. I also have the FD2 knob.

to the OP: quit smoking and clear your car!

Thanks. I had the skunk2 shift knob on my last 3 previous cars. Love the knob.
