DIY: painting wheel trim
Alot of people has been asking how to paint your own wheel trim,
so I'm going to give you the way I did it. I didn't take pictures when I did it and I dont want to do it again, but I'll show my final product. This is what i started with: ![]() Supply needed: spray paint(any of your choice) jack jackstands a cardboard *NOTE* This is probably easier in a auto car. AND with two people. 1. Measure the trim and cut out it out on the cardboard. 2. Jack up the car. You could jack it up high enough to where to back tires are off the ground too to save some time, but I think the LSD might cause a problem here. 3. Put the jack stand under it and repeat step 2 on the other side. 4. Put the car in first gear or D and then put the cardboard up against the trim and start painting. 5. Do as many coats as you want. Just let the wheel spin and keep the cardboard still. 6.Keep doing this until your done. 7. For the back just jack it up and have the other person spin the wheel while you spray. This is what my wheel looked like afterwards. ![]() Hope it helped anyone that wanted to do this. ^^ |
