Resetting oil life monitor

Anyone know how to reset the oil life monitor that's displayed on the dash? I just changed my oil for the first time on my EX and I'd like the monitor to read 100%.

Directions are in your owner's manual

I think it's as simple as holding down the button until it resets, but I haven't had to do it yet, so I'm not sure.

It's in the owner's manual.

hold the reset, it blinks, then press it again. I think thats how it goes. Again, in the manual it tells you exactly.

instead of telling the person to "look in the owners manual"...be nice and just tell them. What does it hurt?????

THANK YOU!!! Finally, someone said it! If you are going to take the time and effort to type out a "Use the Search" button or "Its in the Owner's Manual" post, then why don't you either tell him or provide some sort of useful information. I mean hell, you seem to know its in the manual, probably because you've read it, so you most likely know how to do it. If you aren't going to post something useful or funny, why post it at all?!

Once you are at the oil life display, hold in the SEL/Reset button (about 10 to 15 seconds) until the display starts to flash. Let go of the button and then push and hold about 10 to 15 seconds and it goes to 100%. I have a 2007 Honda Civic and I just did this so I know it works. Also, I looked in the manual and it is NOT very informative about this operation.

suggestion: if you have a question about something as part of your oil change, why not check in the DIY Oil Change thread, even if you have an si it would tell you how to do it
