I can't find any dyno shop open on the weekends nor holidays, o'well. Maybe some one will do this mod and dyno it.

Anyways,

Well I can't get a break lol.
Time slips suck: (well I suck)

1. 40 PSI tires, launch 5500rpm, REAL BAD wheel hopping spinning (*NOT IN VIDS forgot to turn on cam)
2. 40 PSI tires, launch 4500 rpm, BAD wheel hopping spinning
3. 30 PSI tires, launch 3500 rpm, wheel hopping spinning
4. 30 PSI tires, launch 3000 rpm, wheel hopping spinning
5. 30 PSI tires, launch 3000 rpm, wheel hopping spinning

Vids of it below 34'ish megs:
http://www.freedomcomputers.net/civi.../dragstrip.wmv

Stock suspension, Summer tires w/ 50 psi max.
On the modbox so far 3 tanks fulls have been averaging 324 miles to a tank. That is a gain of 37 miles to a tank over the SRI. Both readings were from 90% highway and 10% city with agressive driving about half the time on both highway and city. Oh that is with the AC on all the time on both.

camera mount used:

Oh forgot, in the third race in the video. I was lined up with a CRX with N20 (he purged on the line twice), don't know what the motor was in it, but beat him lol.

Is that a TransAM or Firebird in the first race of that video that beat me? If it is it ran 14.29 @ 93.42mph, don't they come with v8's?!?!? 4th gen I think.

Yea that was a Z28 Convertible, LT1 (94-97) 275-285 HP depending on year and like 335 ft/lbs at 3k rpm or so (i had a 97 Trans am)

They typically run 13.9-14.5 and for a convertible it has more weight.

Launch looks ok but you need to launch higher. That one race aganst the ford lightning your launch was 3k and it dropped down to 2.5k. Major loss in power there. I'd say the best launch was the first run aganst the Z28.

You aren't takin your foot off the gas at all on the launch are you? Your shifts look good. I dunno what to say

Edit: I'd say take that vorando tornado thing out. Then buy a CAI or wait for the ice box. It is possible (really doubt it tho) that the intake is messing it up.

Higher launch only gets wheel hop. Yeah it dropped to 2500rpms.
No, not taking foot off during launch.
Feathering the clutch, cuz a total dump kicks the suspension like crazy.
I do take foot off the gas during shift, but doing it very fast.
Those runs were with the poorman's modbox w/ K&N filter and NO TORNADO.
I think the modbox gains are minimal versus the stock box, it's mainly a test and daily driving to save gas lol.

I did do 30PSI in the last 3 runs lol.
32PSI front and 29PSI rear is recommended for the SI, but they don't state for the All-season or the Summer tires.
I was gonna do 20 PSI for the last launch but forgot to. Next time with some more mods, I will go back and try again with another setup.

I'd say full throttle shift it. Dont take your foot off the gas at all. I believe the car falls out of VTEC if you dont do it. I always get that "wall" when i shift off the gas. Feels like the car lags or loses its breath for a second.

Will only really add wear to the clutch, not the tranny. And doing this at the track a couple of times a year wont add much wear to the car. Do this every day then yes you will have problems. Ask the guy that ran 14.2 how he shifted.

bioevolve, if you're still having problems with wheel hop, why don't you give Ingall's engine torque dampener a try? I know that Corsport carries it.

I've never used it, nor do I know anyone who has. But maybe it'll allow you to launch at higher rpms.

Dude, after watching your vids, all I have to say is your one lucky bastard. You don't seem to have any issue shifting as fast as you want from 1 -> 2 after the red light starts blinking. Personally I'm about to sell my piece of crap because something is obviously wrong with the tranny and I know Honda won't fix it.

Damn why is my car a piece of shit.

I did have a slight problem with that until I switched to AMSoil.

Yes, but due to a few factors, such as: impatience and using the wrong attachment; I melted some of plastic and ripped a hole into one of the sides.

Thankfully I had done this experiment on an extra airbox. I got the lower piece of the airbox done well, the top part is messed up, so I'll have to get another one, or use my actual one. We'll see. I'll post pics of the process when it's done.
