ITs the same thing dude, however you want to look at it. I would figure someone of your nature would agree with the dvd thing is just as bad.

I dont see the DVDs as a bad thing cause you have a choice in the matter. You may or may not crash depending on the person. If you crash w/o your seat belt on and/or if the air bag hits you, you have a very high chance of dieing.

I see this as dvds are an in-directly bad idea and disabling and not wearing your seat belt would be a directly bad idea.

More statistics
Quote:
Failure to wear a safety belt was also an issue with most of the 64 adult drivers killed during an air bag deployment. Of those drivers killed, 46 of them were either totally unrestrained or improperly restrained when the air bag deployed. Safety belt use of one is unknown. The seven adult passenger fatalities involved five unbelted passengers.

I would just assume that no amount of bitching is going to get you what you want here...If it's so important to YOU not to wear your seatbelt, find out how to do it somewhere else. You must understand the word "liability". If the owner's of this site see fit to delete a post, if it gives them the heebie-jeebies or makes them feel uncomfortable, they won't allow it to be printed. Example, your newspaper or the media.

BTW, look at my avatar....I'm HERE BECAUSE OF MY SEATBELT!

y doesn't anyone ever take the bulb out the dash or just find the little chime speaker and take that out...

i think then the safety would be about the same as far as airbags are concerned...

wow, way to jump the gun there buddy!!!!!!!!
I carry things in my passenger seat all the time, not people or babies, and sometimes my dog rides with me on short trips to the park. Do you have any idea how bothering it is to hear it go off everyday all day long. I have to turn my radio up not to hear it, and it's starting to bug my ears. and it's so easy for you to sit there and call me stupid when you don't know the circumstances. so please don't bother me about this I have had a long day and my decision of whether or not to wear my seat belt is my bizzz. and if i die, which i won't because i always wear mine/ i feel naked without it, but if i do you can call it population control

maybe you should look up what MODERATOR means. if they dont think it is right to have posted up, than guess what, its not going to be posted up. hopefully everyone can see now why only certain people on here are moderators and not genius "race car drivers" such as yourself or any other person on here that thinks they are too cool for a seatbelt.

I agree with type x, and hondab1015. If you are going to delete posts because they involve somthing illigal, you better start deleting alot more.

Allowing people to post DIY on how to change the steering wheel, or the factory seats to aftermarket ones, neither of witch have air bags is on the same level. Race headers, and non smog legal turbos in Cali and other states, same level. I could go on but you get the point.

And as for the 16 year old kid senario, he had a choice to put on his seatbelt, and he had a choice to do the DIY. Are you going to say the same thing if he puts a CAI on his car, hydrolocks, and sues the site for providing a DIY on the CAI? No.

In closing who says this guy does not wear his belt? I would like to do the DIY and I wear my belt at all times. It is just annoying when I take it off like one second to early when I am parking and the damn noise goes off.

Some people need to and mind their own buisness.

Yes some posts were deleted, in an effort to cleanup and prevent further member bashing.

So why disable something when its temporary? Just plug the seat belt in when you put your dog in the car Its not very hard and you dont have to cut wires and screw up OEM stuff on the car.

maybe you should be one, you seem like a really coool dude, and you aren't like pressing your ideas on anyone. there is a difference between saying that you think we are wrong, why do you think you have the right to cross that boundry.

not ness. when my dog is in, but i have people and heavy papers and boxes, and briefcasses and other stuff that i carry in my car, and anytime i put more than like 30 or 40 lbs on the seat it goes off, and i hat having to put it on the stuff take it off, put it on take it off, etc.

And i don't want to "screw" anything up, i don't know what all you have to do to turn it off, maybe just take out a fuse and then perhaps put it back it when you want to, i just wanted to see how to do it

how about this.... why dont we start explaining WHY we dont wear our seatbelts? i am kind of anxious to see what everyone has to say about WHY. is there a legitimate reason? i will bet the reasons will sound pretty stupid. so lets hear them.........

It dosn't matter whether I think that it was right or wrong... I just like others [including you] on here are allowed to state our opinions. You trying to back your argument by using "MODERATOR" dosn't scream anything more that FANBOY

No where did i state that I was one who favored not wearing a seatbeat for recognition points or titles of a genuis or cool person. I find it kind of funny that you can't seem to read or interpret my opionons or even that of others for that matter and post responces that irratic and ill thought out. I guess your just following the crowd... no style

Yea you have to strip wires to do it and IMO thats bad, cant be reversed and is ghetto and the next owner has to suffer, but thats an opinion.

When i used to deliver pizzas in my yaris i'd just run the belt around the back when i had more than a couple sitting on the passenger seat. Sure there was a DIY some where but no thanks, i'll keep my car clean.
