Is there a way to turn on DRLs with headlights

Does anyone know how I can wire the DRL lights to turn on with the regular headlights?

I tried posting this question in the Lighting section but it wouldn't let me.

Thanks in advance!

Don't believe this is possible because the DRLs function is just a matter of low voltage being applied to the High-Beam bulb filaments. When you turn on the headlights with the switch, you then toggle between Low- and High-Beam settings. AFAIK, the DRLs have a separate fuse and by removing it you can eliminate the DRLs being "On" entirely.

Someone please correct this if in error. Thanks.

re:

just a thought. i dont know if it would work. Run a relay full circuit relay from the drl to the headlights making the drl as the switch that would activate the headlights.
Dont really know alot about circuitry but i have a relay on my HID kit now that draws power straight from the battery and is activated by the stock headlight swtich....just a thought.

^ for the fuse # just pop open the panel under the steering wheel and crawl under there. the fuse's should be to the upper left and read the legend it should say something like daytime lights. once you locate that you should use the fuse puller which is located in the engine bay fuse box(its under the cover) sorry if its confusing. ill check back if you have any questions

ok back to "how to make them "ON" with the lowbeams.
can someone just draw up a simple picture on paint of how to run the relay? if someone can do this, ill be the test dummy to see if it works.

Okay well on the original topic,

DRLs are just (usually 30%) reduced powered high beams. Often you can see the high beam indicator on faintly on other cars.

So, all you need to do, is keep you high beams on - and run a switch into the high beam output wire so that you can reduce the wattage at your will.
