Another oil change bitch thread...

So I got all the stuff to change my oil with this week...Redline 5w-30, Mobil 1 filter, oil filter socket, funnel, drain plug washer, etc...

All was well until I got to the evil OEM filter...I thought I was all set with my oil filter socket....ommmmm no...apparently only the Honda oil filter socket will take off the Honda Filter ...So, I try and try, wont f'n budge...I ask my dad (who's a strong dude) to try...no luck...shiiittttttttt...

So, I end up going to the auto parts store and finding an oil filter wrench...thank the Lord this think worked!!!!!

Then, I take off the filter and the oil just falls all over the sheet metal below the engine and me!!! I suppose I knew it would happen, but come on Honda!!!! It is absolutely, without a doubt the worst placed oil filter ever!!!!!

Uggggg...rant done....

My first oil change was done by my uncle. i used 5w-30 vavoline syn and i didn't like the way the car felt. so i switched to quaker state high rpm blend which is half and half o yea the vavoline was syn/blend too but the most funniest thing in the world is that my engine was hot my uncle keep burning the shit out of him self. tryna get the filter off it is in a bad location though

I try to let the dealers do the 1st oil change. Its always the worst one. Just make sure you put a little oil on the filter gasket before you screw it back on.

if it bent your wrench its on too tight, hand tight is all you really should do on the filter, i go hand tight plus a quarter turn with the wrench

Ok see those two things that look the same there called jack stands they support your car you jack it up and lower the car onto those thus keeping the car from crushing you
