seems to me liek you can actually take the honda key and turn the buttons sideways along with the chip and it may JUST BARELY fit..but it seems like itll work..

the buttons are slightly different but shouldnt make a big deal

**NO CLUE IF ANYONES TRIED THIS YET LOL BUT** if ya havent...gl

doesnt quite fit. the civic key electronics are bigger than the allotted space for the rdx key when you turn them to allign the buttons

How much does your dealership usually charge for programming the key??

I was searching around my area and they are charging $100+!!!!

i have everything fitting okay... the immobilizer was a pain in the ass... long story short, i need a new immobilizer (which i will be getting from a transponder key) and have to program it... the product feels flimsy (key blade moves around slightly and you can feel it hit the plastic case)

You need a new imobilizer? you mean the transponder? Why do you need a new one?

100 dollars to just program a key is rediculous,if you have the key already cut and in hand the labor on programming the key shuld only be 35-50 dollars . I can understand the cost of the key, cutting ,and programming to be maybe at about 100 but not just the programming part, I can program a key in minutes.

lazy help. person i was having me hold the soldering tip melted the plastic off the immobilizer/transponder and the metal clip fell off the chip (from immobilizer) and i couldnt solder one on the chip... it seems to have been a clip style chip, where there was a metal bracket holding the chip in the immobilizer.
