I checked the frequency id on the keys of a few models on the lot and the one that matched was a ridgline.I went on ridgeline owners club and yes they have already done this and it actually works for them !!!! So now the only option left to to find a switchblade key from acura that uses the same frequency as ours.

I guess we'll see when it gets here.
I'm ready to see how/if this works. :) Let us know, please.

It needs the same frequency and the immobilizer transponder connected to the main microcontroller

Stef, i saw one of your posts on that forum, the transponder is connected to the microcontroller so that the remote gets programmed at the same time as the immobilizer transponder, the transponder can be programmed connected or disconnected. However if your remote needs to be reprogrammed it wont be able to be done unless you reconnect the transponder.

After some research , which i should have done before wasting money . The 07-08 mdx key I located online uses the same FreQ ID and IC as the 8th gen civics. Now this might help all of us I.E the civic owners that don't need the trunk option. The one I located is a 2 button setup which is used for lower model mdx's that don't use the power tailgate option. I'm gonna assume that Ex and Si owners with the trunk option would want the 3 button setup from the fully loaded MDX. I'm gonna order the key tomorrow and go from there hopefully i'll have better luck.

07/08 mdx key w/power tailgate option p/n = 35111-STX-306
07/08 mdx key without tailgate option p/n = 35111-STX-305

Just programmed the 07-08 MDX key and it works but only problem is the trunk option does not work . Lock and unlock work with no problem , so i guess thats better then nothing . I can live without the auto trunk option .If you guys can live without it then this is a possible route . Gonna do some more research and see if they have a switchblade key for the acura CSX .
