I keep checking this thread in hopes of someone making a clear and simple step by step. I hope someone will just start a new thread with pictures and a step by step for the ex/si. I think it would help out a lot of people

1. Buy '07-'08 MDX key.
2. Unlink MDX key by pressing and holding the lock and unlock button until it starts blinking 3 times.
3. Have it CUT, PROGRAM IMMOBILIZER, PROGRAM KEYLESS.

As of right now, the folks that got it to work has an '07 Civic.

keep in mind that the 06s remote programming and the 07s and up do appear to be different

The difference being....the 06 immobilizer needs to read the key before the car will start.

The new style will let you start the car first and then the immobilizer will read the key.

OK. I have a 2007 EX sedan. Will this procedure activate lock/unlock AND the trunk release?

No , There is no way around the trunk problem at this moment . presently to do this mod you lose the trunk option.

IIRC, US EX/Si doesn't have a keyhole for their trunks...that's gonna suck with the switchblade key.
