yeah you have to solder its not a direct swap. You have to desolder the transponder chip thing from the circuit board and solder 2 wires to the circuit board and then solder the 2 wires to the chip.

does the actual key wobble in the housing or is it sturdy?

The key doesnt wobble when its closed but when you flip it open it wobbles a little bit its not something that bothers me though since its very little movement.

I desolder the 2 sides and took tweezers and very carefully pulled off the transponder. You might have to give it some force to pull it off since the transponder is also glued on.

you have to remove the transponder from the circuit board which requires the addition of two wires.

The transponder has to be in a certain perimeter from the immobolizer. With the ebay key, the transponder sits too far away so it has to be moved.

I bought an MDX key and had it cut. I'll be getting it programmed on Saturday. Will let you know what happens.
