How to RESET/CHANGE your Maintenance Code for 06-09 CIVIC?

1.) Turn the Ignition Switch To The ON (II) Position. (Not Running the Engine)

2.)Press the SEL/RESET button repeatedly (2x)Or (3x)Times until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.

3.) Press The SEL/RESET Button for about 10 seconds. The engine OIL LIFE and the MAINTENANCE Item CODE will Blink.

4.) Press The SEL/RESET Button for more than 5 Seconds. The Maintenance Item Code will disappear, and the Engine Oil Life Will reset to 100%.

I hope guys! you enjoy and follow my simple instruction..have a nice day and have a safe driving always..

NOTE:: You can do this Procedure if you want to chance your oil by yourself (DIY Change Oil) now thats the time you reset the code and also by checking the next Maintenance Code that will blink on your dash,So thats the time you know whats the next service, they gonna do to your car..

I updated the OP to include reximus's image path reparations. I also deleted reximus's post of corrections to avoid redundancy. Nice work.

nice, 4 years later we get a DIY for this.

this can be done with the motor running on automatic cars for sure. possibly not on manuals.

Cant get this to work on mine (EX coupe manual)...

With the key on position II (engine off), the SEL/RESET button just cycles through TRIP A / TRIP B / TOTAL TRIP... no other options whatsoever

Am i missing something?
