'10 Civic Si Accessory Light

hey everybody, so i just got my new '10 civic si, and of course, i love the beast, but i was very slightly bummed when i saw that honda took out the accessory light that's in the middle of the panel where the map lights are. the hole once had a small amber-colored ambient light that gave a little bit of interior lighting. my friend has an 07 SI, and there's one in his. but i think that since fogs came stock on the 09 - 10 civic si, they took out this light. the hole where the light used to be is now covered with plastic.

i know there's one thread that shows somebody putting a light into this hole, but it has a toggle switch, and i'm not too much a fan of that.

does anybody know how to put a light into that hole and work the light so that it turns on with the low beam driving lights? (just like it would with the 2006-2008 si)

Get the part from a model year with what your looking for and swap all the hardware n ur done

Or just buy a small led and put it in there, power is already going near there..

I have a 2009 TW FA5 and have an accesory light. Perhaps it's a change on the '10s?

im sure it will be easier for someone on here to help you out with pics attached. just point out what you need and where its located in the car...i have an 09 Si FA5 and it has a little red light..maybe they did take that off on the 2010 Si ...just post some pics bro..we'll help you out

didnt they do this kinda mod in the lighting area for a ex becuz they dont come with it and all they did wat swap out the light thing panel with a si one and the put in the led and that was it,,, but then again i dont know how much different the 10 is to older models

i have a 2010 si FA5 but have no idea what light u r talking about....u mean there should be a light in between the two map lights where the moonroof switch is? or in teh little compartment under the stereo?

if you're talking about a led in the ceiling pointing towards the shifter i have it in my 2010 fa5
