is it possible to switch tach and speedometer to red?

if i bought the Si tach and speedometer off ebay would it fit in my LX? or would this cause problems with the odometer and only the speedometer would fit? all info/DIY links are helpful

i thought the 8th gen civics mileage was not stored in the gauges themselves but in the car ECU?

It's store in a chip in the cluster. You can ship them off to some one (forgot name) that will switch them you retain your old chip (mileage) on the new cluster.

As for the cluster actually working i think it would have to be a manual LX for it to work, but i don't know.

You can in fact transfer the chip to the SI gauge. Its already been covered.

However, the calibration will be off.
