is it worth amping speakers?

im getting a new headunit, with 20w rms/50max and speakers are 50w rms/100 max, will it make a difference if i get an amp on them? or will it be a small difference and unnoticed?

you will probably want to get an amp just to be sure nothing blows, in a perfect world everything would run like its supposed to, but we all know **** happens.... i used to run 2 amps, one for my components and one for my subs...you could also get a multi channel amp and run the speakers and sub from it

i contemplated this with my old EX and when i added the amp my sound system was crystal clear. I didnt have an amp in it and unfortunately my car was stolen about a month after I installed the amp, but i did use the insurance money to get my Si so i guess everything worked out.

word of advance bring some you trust who knows a thing or two about electronic, i took my best friend hes an electrical engineer so he understand that stuff way better than i do and save me not only money but also the hassle of getting ripped off by the audio store (not that all of them are bad but most in riverside are)

i wouldn't use any more than a 500 peak wt amp with the blupunkt. absolute garbage
