do you know what plastic piece it's hitting? i haven't heard of this problem before but i know when i first installed mine it wasn't sitting properly so i couldn't get it in 2nd or 4th. make sure the ball is all the way in the adapter and that you tighten the allen screws all nice and tight.

exactly its not going into 2nd and 4th...its hitting the plastic piece at the bottom. its where the linkage cable is i guess. it looked like it went all the way in but maybe not. what im noticing on other threads are the adapters seem wider that the skunk one. idk

i have installed a few of these on 07 Si's. i had the same problem with one of them where i couldnt get it to clear. i found it was user error in being that one of the little screws was in just a tiny bit. so my advise is to take the screws out far enough to where they arent falling out but close to then push it on. if this doesnt work then you will be forced to trimming the plastic to make it work. hopefully this helped

ok i re-did the whole process over again and had no luck! the SS would not clear the plastic piece. i had to grind down the piece in order to clear. after some elbow grease i got it done! it clears 2nd, 4th, 6th and reverse!! feels pretty good.thanks for the info!!

I had the same problem with my first CorSport unit, turns out it was improperly machined, which made the shifter throws really really short, and popped out of 5th all the time) I suggest trying an identical part before buying a new one, or atleast shoot Skung a letter
