Thats Mr.Bart to you!
8thcivic DIY faceoff...

So alot of ppl here see themselves as some pretty good DIY guys, now my question is this?

Do you want to put your money where your mouth is? face off in chalanges like guys do in the photography thread?

Put your wits reserch and building abillities to the test?

I think that something like this hasnt been tries befor and i wouldnt mind giving it a shot. what im thinking is a serires of challanges each stretching about a month to compleat a DIY challange, something that isnt easy, something that not everyone can do and abviously something that is car related.

You would need to take progress shots of whatever the challange is and post up the final result to get voted on.

what do you guys think? anyone else in????

Bataling myself wouldnt be fun. and yes you can get anyone you want to help and use whatever resorses you have.

great idea, i'd love to see some creativity going on.

VTXFrank's headlight LED strip's lookin good rite now..

What would be the criteria?
- Difficulty
- Originialty/Creativity

Difficulty, Originialty are more up to me and whatever we decide to do where as Creativity, execution of the task and final product would be something that we could vote on.

like a fog retro, creative lighting IE turnsignals? a light retro of some kind. maybe a intergration of something, or a clever use of fablic.. i dont know. something DIY

Maybe it should be something that's obvious to a person who doesn't know too much about cars?

- Obviousness of DIY effort
or
- Complaince with OEM styling

I modify my ride to suit (btw it change often) rather than follow the trends. For starter one month I think too distance as it will put off most beginners. Let do something close to our heart, simple and fast to accomplish and progress as we go along.

Starter suggestions:-
- Auto headlamp or fog lamp when dark
- Anti reflective speed meter panel

Intermediate suggestions:-
- Heat reduction bonnet
- Aero dynamic fiber body parts

btw i've done most of the above suggsted, so i'm not eligible to your endeavors
