Exclamation Rim painting question

I know there is a section on HOW TO PAINT RIMS but........ i was wondering does anyone know a write=up on how to paint the outline of the OEM rim? like the outter edge a different color??? i've done it 1 time on my old 2000 Si but i had the INTEGRA LS-Web rims so it was alot easier bc the lip was bigger ......now on the 06+ Si' rims the lip is very small..... Appreciate any help! Thanks

just did mine this weekend.

the best thing to do is paint the lip/outside of the rim the color you want. let it dry good. take some pin-striping tape and cover the lip up as much or as little as you want. then get your other color on. let dry, take off the tape. clear and your done

so i saw your other post about painting yours white w/ a red lip.... thats exactly what i just did.
the first time i painted them, i had them black w/ a red lip.

yeah start with the lip color. just paint the lip part (of course youll have "over spray" where the base color will be going) its okay, youll paint right over it after you tape off ur lip

hmm i dunno whats its called, my gf got it for me. i know she got it at advanced auto parts. its silver tape. when you take the tape off, do it slow.
