2009 Civic 12V Constant Power to Aux Power Outlet
I just picked up my new 09 Civic EX-L and it has 2 Aux Power Outlets, but both only have power when the key is on, I want the one in the arm rest to have constant power with no key in the ignition, how can this be done?

I imagine you would need to pull apart the Power Outlet and hardwire it to your battery or splice into a constant 12V wire. Not sure where there's a constant 12V line, there's probably one leading to radio tho.
If you need a constant 12V power outlet you may want to consider just buying an aftermarket cigarette lighter adapter and wiring it to your battery. It won't be as convenient as the stock outlets, but you should be able to hide it under your the dash or seat so it's not visible. I did this with my old '98 Civic CX hatchback. Cigarette Lighter Adapter or 12V Power Socket Plug just cut off the adapter end and hard wire to the battery. ![]()
