07 civic si coupe, 6.5's all the way around?

hey all, great site ive found. i will be using at least two guides i have found here, thanks guys!!

recently just got a 07 civic si coupe with navi and premium sound. looking to replace the speakers but leave the sub.
crutchfield is telling me that 5 1/4's will fit in the rear deck and 6.5's in the front, but looking around here im seeing plenty of pictures with 6.5's in the rear deck? kind of confused here. i want to get the polk mm651s all the way around.

Polk Audio MM651 6-3/4" 2-way speakers at Crutchfield.com

i want to go crutchfield because of the installation gear they hook you up with + instructions.

any ideas? thanks in advance!

edit: for some reason crutchfield lists the mm651's as 6 3/4, but sonicelectronics lists them as 6.5's!? perhaps this is why crutchfield says they dont fit?

Im pretty sure all of our speakers are 6.5". Thats odd that crutchfield says otherwise.

its not that the 6.5's wont fit, its that the magnets in the new speakers wont fit in the area. Trust me. I went and tried 6.5s and 5.25s and 5.25 is the way to go.

I used to work for Crutchfield and I can tell you the guys who research cars for installation are top notch. Installation guides are easy to follow and most speaker connections are plug and play. Like the person who posted before me, it's not that 6.5s won't work, just require some modifications.

Do you mean that there isn't enough depth? If that's the case, you can grab a jig saw/dremel and make spacers from MDF that will buy you a little more room.
