Taillight Tint question

I searched for it but was unable to get a diy taillight tint. I know it seems simple but i wanted to know what you used as the liquid to put on the adhesive side. Just water or a mixture of soap and water? Please clarify. Thanks.

I went out and bought some tint solution from auto zone. Spray the solution on the taillight. Spray water on the tint. Keep your hands wet and get a heat gun. Make sure you set aside some time.

It would be a lot cleaner if you bought some VHT Nightshade from Autozone. Mask off the areas that you don't want to tint, and then lightly spray the Nightshade on the tails. The more coats you apply, the darker it will be. This way, you won't have something that can come off when you wash or in bad weather.

Is the tint by itself not strong enough to endure a good wash?

I bought the tint and had a pro put it on... best of both worlds. I wouldn't have been able to do such an awesome job like this guy did!

Hmmm, interesting. I'm sure it could be done with same tint I used. Could just ask whomever is installing to use the razor and cut that section out. Wouldn't be any different than cutting off the excess tint around edges of light but a little more carefully.... gotta follow the lines of section under tint can't be easy.

this is actually a common look. There are a couple rides on here with that exact look. I think it looks sweet...

wow..who ever said vinyl doesnt last under weather and washing is WAY off. the vinyl is 5-7 year stuff. same stuff on the side of work vans and crap advertising the company, you think they use a soap that isnt harsh to clean their vans? no they use the powerful industrial stuff and it doesnt come off. mine has been on for 2+ years with no issues. i have the reverse cutout on mine.

Vynals are a waste dont use them, sell them to some other sucker on ebay for more then u bought them. Then go to advanced auto and buy a can of vht nite shades. Remove your lights, then spray, the rest comes easy. You can't mess them up with spray, seriously easiest car mod ive ever done
