I want my lights to turn on when i hit unlock

How can this be done? I know its possible because when you hit the panic button, the headlights flash on and off. Is there a way to get them to come on when i unlock my car? I searched everywhere and couldnt find anything.
Thanks!

I think it's some clever wiring headlights--to-the-dome-light...

Or getting some sort of chip

It's very very bad for the ballast on HID's to have them flick on and off, you would not want that.

^ I think he was suggesting that they could somehow be wired to the map/dome lights (they turn on when you unlock the car)

if you can get it like the tsx, accord, tl headlights.
they aren't auto but they turn off eventually when you
lock the car. and turn on when you unlock the door.

I swear little things like this are on the accord but not on the
civic. And how you can roll down your windows with unlock button.

why does everyone say that flickering your HIDs is bad? isnt flickering anything going to be obviously worse for the parts than not flickering them?

well the ballast will burn out, if you want the headlights to come on just add LEDs!! and connect to the dome.

You could do that, just get a relay and program it through the key. Very simple

Ok for those who are talking about rolling down windows and what not, im not interested in that. I simply want my low beam lights to turn on when i hit unlock. I work as a Valet and almost all GM products do it, and i know that it can't be too hard because when you hit panic is causes the lights to flash. This means the fob is already somehow linked to the low beams. Can anyone chime in that has actually DONE IT, and how to do it?

Here's wha ti think: You press the unlock button, and the chip knows to flash the indicators and turn the dome light on for x seconds...

If you can.. u can either reprogram the chip, or piggy back wires on to each other....
