Advice for portable HD Radio (Visteon Jump)

Just joined the forum, bought my first Civic LX this past August. I haven't seen any other posts for this specific question.

I just bought the Visteon Jump transportable receiver. Since I'm in and out of different cars during season, I wanted something to take with me. I'm a traveling recruiter so I use a lot of rental cars. It's technically supposed to be installed by a professional, but then it's not 'transportable' to other cars. The power is supposed to be wired into the car's power supply and the antenna is supposed to be wired into the car's antenna. I bought a fix for the power, but I can't figure out the antenna. This brings up two questions:

1) I've read that the car's antenna is on the back windshield, but is there a hookup location? I imagine this will require some 'surgery' to get to.
2) Is there an antenna adapter anybody knows of that would enable me to move this from car to car instead of a permanent install?

I think the problem you are going to run into most unit that require you to hook into the antenna give you a y harness/junction box to plug in line with the antenna. The unit will then transmit a low level fm signal right into the antenna. Depending on how strong that signal is you might be able to get away with just getting the antenna close to the radio

you should return it and get this one instead for 35 dollars.
JVC HD Radio Tuner/FM Transmitter with JVC Do-It-Yourself Car Kit, KT-HDP1/ KVK1018 - KT-HDP1 - Buy.com

if you take a look at the antenna, its just a stand alone, bendable antenna

maybe you can find an antenna like that?

also, can you tell me what you're using for a battery fix?
