Trunk lost some shine...

I had a big dirt spot on my car recently, and I tried to wash it off with a wet cloth. I got the spot off, but I scratch the shine coat off..

Any way to fix it? spray clear coating or something?

Brands?

no quick fix for that man other than a cf trubk. U would defently have to reapply clear and by the Looks of it your paint is also damaged so most likely it will come out noticable. It looks like your whole lid has paint damage besides the pass. corner. good luck

Ack,clay, polish and wax, buff the spot, should bring it back to some shine.

What was on there to make you use water and cloth? Yikes.

dirt that wouldn't come off easily for some reasons.
how much would the materials cost? got a rough estimate?

If dirt doesn't come off easily, place a paper towel over it, spray with vinegar dihlouted with water on it, let it soak. then clay bar it off. Or use goo gone.

Costs vary with brands. Best you look at your local shops, walmart, what ever you have in your Area.

DIRT!!?!?! Are you kidding me? For a second i thought u cleaned ur trunk with a power sander... if your not gonna get a cf trunk, you should probably pay to have it painted professionally. My guess it would cost 300-500 depending on the shop.

if you dont know how to clean dirt off your car without damaging the clear, i wouldnt attempt to buff it.

take it to a body shop, they could prob fix it in like 5 mins for a few bucks.

well how long did you work? how much did you remove? You may have taken off enough clear coat to not bother trying to buff that out.

However, if you want to give it a try go buy some meguiars ultimate compound around $10, and some foam applicators (cheap), microfiber towels, maybe some meguiars swirlx (also pretty cheap), and wax it to finish.

You can do it for probably around 20 or so if you order offline at ADS (autodetailingsolutions.net) Or just look in stores
