Painted Rims

What's the best thing I could do to prevent the rims from getting scratched if I just painted them?

paint them after you get new rubber put on, lots of clearcoat layers, dont curb em, and send 20 dollars a week to me

Clear coat them alot,and be careful. Post some pics after you are done painting them.

In terms of rocks and stuff while I am driving, is it worth it to paint? They won't chip too easily or anything will they?

if you painted them black..just get a black touch up paint and cover the rock chips. i did it and i can't even tell if i touched it up.

put 3-4 thick coats on them,paint them after tires are put on and put 2 coats of clear,ive had mine painted for about 5-6 months and no chips yet,what color are you painting them ???

wet sand them before you paint.
preferred if you bake also~

im painting them black with a blue lip. my si is fiji blue. i have blue calipers as well.
