hi beam relay

Hello,
I'm working on my daughter's 2006 Civic. her lights are stuck on hi bean. Does anyone know where the hi beam relay is? I assume it is stuck in the closed position. When I pull your fuse for it the lights go to low beam.
Thank You,
Devon

There's no high-beam relay. The high-beam circuit is controlled by high-beam transistors and a low-beam relay, all located in the MICU.

I take it you are pulling fuse #18 which is a 20 amp fuse located under the dash?

So the only thing that can be done is take it to a dealer to fix?

Okay, well, I think the easiest thing to do is test the combination light switch.

A lot of the other diagnostic troubleshooting requires an HDS (Honda scan tool, if you will) and special connectors that plug into the MICU/ relay box.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested in testing the combination light switch and we'll go from there. It will involve removing the steering column covers (top and bottom) located on the steering wheel and the dashboard lower cover. Then, removing the combination light switch from the steering column. All pretty easy.

Where are you located?

Let me ask this first: does your daughter's Civic have any warranty left on it?

Sent you an email. G'luck man. If it's not the combination light switch, it's probably the MICU. Not cheap. So, we're starting with the cheapest part.
