Rear speaker mounts

I took out the rear speakers in my LX sedan and attempted to put in some 6.5" Pioneer speakers, but it looks like i'm going to have trouble getting them to mount correctly. The stock speakers have some special clips and appear to sit up a little from the frame. They also only use 1 screw. What's the best way to mount my Pioneers? I already read the rear speaker install tutorial in the Audio Forum, which clearly explained how to remove the stocks, but does not go into how to actually mount aftermarket speakers. Thanks in advance for your help.

2 solutions:
A. buy 1" spacers rings and mount your speakers to said rings.
B. Gut out the current speakers and leave the outer frame which you would then mount your speakers to.

The original frame has the speaker cone glued to it. Would it be easy to just cut the speaker out and put the new one in it, or is there more to it than that? I also don't want to rip out the stock speaker cones if i don't have to.

Spacer rings might be an option, but i don't know where i'd put the other 2 screws, since the original speaker used 1 screw.

I just replaced all the speakers in my car last weekend.

I used 1" spacer rings for the rear deck and doors for my 6.5" speakers. Just pop out the stock speakers drill 4 holes to mount your spacer ring. Bolt it up screw in your speakers and your good to go.

My rears were Coaxial's that stuck up a bit higher than normal I had to trim the ring down to 3/4" and trim off the extra plastic on the grill. I also had to trim off the extra plastic in the front door panels.
