We are just doing the install to see if the unit plugs in and functions.

Honda is famous for putting the same harnesses in vehicles and tying back plugs that are not used in certain models so that is what we are hoping for.

Wish me luck.:)

+1 rep for trying this..

It's not costing anything but time:) .The issue was finding a civic to try it on.

I took this pic from peliROJO’s post.Looks to me this is the connection for the heater controls right?

The front…

The back…

Looks like the same plug on the CSX.

I won’t be able to get this installed for a couple days but it looks good so far.

Ok, lemme rephrase that question...How much will it be for those of us who don't own a CSX and/or are a Parts Manager for a Canadian Acura dealership??

Thanks Guys!

Ethlar are these pics from the Hybrid?

I have a good feeling this will plug and play but I do have doubts it will operate as an Auto Climate unit without the sensors. Not really sure just guessing.I am assuming there is an empty spot in the fusebox on the civic we will need to put a fuseto get it to operate but again I can only guess right now.

Thumbs up

Good luck NBPRudy! Were counting on you. This is the number one thing I feel is missing on this car. I even installed a autodimming mirror with a temp gage. I purposely setup the temp gage to be a cabin temp just so I can monitor the temperature better. (My EX has outside temp already)

Install is getting done in the morning.I would like to say i'm 100% sure this will work but as I said above it may not work like an Auto Climate unit will.

Lol!

I still think its fine driving my car saying... hmm its cold in the morning when I start it - ok heat on.... then it gets hot, so it turn it down.

But each to his own!

I hope that's not my civic that's getting ripped open...at least not for that

a NAVI unit... now thats something to remod for!

Sorry guys I wish I had better news.At least now we know.

Looking at the picture you can see the plugs are different.

Back to the Hybrid Theory I guess but it's probably the same as the CSX.

Any body have a close up shot of the hybrid connector?
