Keyless entry Programming

Has anybody had extra keys programed, if so did the have to hook the the Honda computer program to the car to program the keys and how much did it cost.

I was quoted $45 for the programing. $65 for the regular key, $20 for the valet key. I said no thanks... but they made me one by mistake. I got it for free. :) Don't know about the computer thing.

I got a new key for my Fit, they hooked up to my obd port to program.

ya a service manager sent me this after me convincing hime that you had to hook it up to the cp.
